Usage & application questions

Get the most from your whitening strips with these answers to common usage questions.

Should I brush before or after using strips?

BEFORE: Brush teeth (without toothpaste) about 30 minutes before applying strips. This removes any film and helps adhesion. AFTER: Wait at least 30 minutes after removing strips before brushing.

Can I eat or drink while wearing strips?

No. Avoid eating or drinking anything while wearing the strips. You can swallow saliva normally, but try not to eat until after you've removed and rinsed.

Can I talk while wearing the strips?

Yes! Our strips are designed to stay in place while you talk, work, or go about your day. Just avoid excessive jaw movement right after applying to let them set.

What if the strip slides or won't stay in place?

Make sure your teeth are completely dry before applying. Press firmly along the gum line and smooth out any air bubbles. If strips still won't adhere, you may have residue from toothpaste or mouthwash—try rinsing with plain water and drying again.

Which strip is for upper teeth and which is for lower?

The longer strip is for your upper teeth, and the shorter strip is for your lower teeth. Both strips are in each individually sealed pouch.

What's the best time of day to use them?

Any time works! Many customers prefer using strips in the morning while getting ready, or in the evening while relaxing. Just avoid using them right after eating acidic foods.

Can I sleep with the strips on?

No. Only wear strips for the recommended 30 minutes. Extended wear can cause gum irritation and isn't more effective than the standard treatment time.
